Sponsoring VECTOR

As a Registered Charitable Society, VECTOR relies on our sponsors to provide assistance for our community projects. VECTOR volunteers provide hundreds of hours of service every year working on various programs which support our partner agencies such as Emergency Social Services (volunteers).

Our programs also support Emergency Communications for local and wide area emergencies and disasters which have affected the normal communications infrastructure. Many of these programs and the projects needed to support them require significant funding. VECTOR's funding is limited to BC Gaming Grant approved programs and projects and income earned from our Basic Amateur Radio Licence Courses.

Sponsorship is based on our fiscal year, which ends October 31. Our sponsors will receive a plaque acknowledging their support for our organization and may have a logo placed (location and size dependent on the value of the sponsorship) on our CERV, in our printed material, on this website (linked at your request) and other suitable locations.

One of our major projects is supporting the 21 emergency reception centres in the City of Vancouver. Each of these centres will have voice and data communications equipment installed and maintained by VECTOR. VECTOR also provides training for the ESS volunteers to use this equipment. Amateur Radio communications are self sufficient and independent, operating when all other normal communication methods have failed.
